Inserts under rear of seat

Post subject:  Inserts under rear of seat

anyone know what these threaded inserts in the hull are for? under the back of the seat, where the height adjustment things make contact. cheers, roger

This is covered in your manual (shown on the seat page) - they are just supports built into the hull for the rear of the seat to rest on - if you felt inside the hull you'll feel the u shaped brass insert that's there to build up plastic in the molding process.

This is my first post. My Outback developed a crack just above the brass insert. I am researching how to repair it. I tried epoxy which didn't work. Looks like I need plastic repair kit. Any insight would be welcome. Thanks
