anyone know what these threaded inserts in the hull are for? under the back of the seat, where the height adjustment things make contact. cheers, roger |

This is covered in your manual (shown on the seat page) - they are just supports built into the hull for the rear of the seat to rest on - if you felt inside the hull you'll feel the u shaped brass insert that's there to build up plastic in the molding process. |

This is my first post. My Outback developed a crack just above the brass insert. I am researching how to repair it. I tried epoxy which didn't work. Looks like I need plastic repair kit. Any insight would be welcome. Thanks |
