Just purchased my 2018 Outback and have a quick newbie question. Looking at the bottom of the hull just in front of the hole for the mirage drive are two holes. They look to be factory holes that are filled and sealed. What are these and is there a purpose for having them?

Thank you in advance for the help!!!

In my humble opinion, the forward plug is there to give support if you want to install a sail mast. The aft plug must be there to give support to the Mirage drive. Just like the screw threads behind the seat. Those are there for the molding process.
