Hi All,

I'm in a new car - Subaru Outback - and struggling to come to terms with the factory bars. Aside from the conundrum of how I might carry two kayaks (the bill looks close to $700 for all the attachments to mount longer bars), I've bought new Yakima Handroll rubber rollers to mount my 2017 Hobie Outback. On first look it's not clear whether these should be positioned to sit more narrowly in the hull recesses on the bottom of the boat, or further towards the sides.

Does anyone have experience of optimal mounting for these rollers? FYI, I have a set of regular Yakima saddles on the front.

Thanks for any light you can shed.

Jon
