Hi I have recently purchased a very tidy Hobie Mirage Outback and I noticed that the rudder on the rear is greatly offset, not sitting straight up and down in fact is leaning very much at an angle almost 30 deg to the right position, I spoke to a local distributor who advised me that it had most likely been bent, as there are no signs of damage to the welding stainless swivel pin or plastic rudder I find it a little strange, my question is simply is it meant to be so or in fact has been bent? I have taken a photo of it but am unaware of how to upload it, I would appreciate any advice , regards Bruce

Should be straight up and down... Original rudders had this stainless part:

If bending to one side... it is not correct.

Thank you very much for that information, I did think that was the case, amazingly I decided to attempt putting it in a vice and lightly tapping it back into a straight position and it was successful! happy days, cheers
