Hello All!

Just installed my Humminbird in my new 2019 Outback.

Chose to use a traditional battery (will eventually upgrade to the Naqua), in the front hatch using the Hobie Sail amounted battery holder. Worked exceptionally well, keeps everything up off the floor of the boat and out of water’s way. I also chose to use an inline 3 amp fuse with a waterproof holder. I soldered it in-line and used heat shrink and dielectric grease to waterproof that connection.

Overall, a very clean and efficient design that Hobie has for running the wires. The connections are all solid and the design meets function well.

Looking forward to getting her out on the water!

Mike

How did you mount your side view transducer? I have mounted mine in the compass lowrance pod and the side imaging does not work as the transducer does not sit low enough.

I am trying to figure out how to rig this up without buying a $60 adapter plate...

I might use longer screws and some spacers to get the plate a little more clearance so the SI transducer can protrude out from the hull a bit more.
