Hi, newbie to the forum here, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

I have recently returned from a trip to Baja where I used a SUP for fishing. this worked OK, but I realize that I need a kayak for future expeditions, A neighbor is selling a 2010 outback mirage, and I am curious if this vessel would serve my "needs". I have researched some of the other threads and understand that there may be upgrades to the more current models that the 2010 edition does not have the asking price fir the vessel is $1300, and I am unsure if this a fair deal, or if I should spend a bit more to get a newer model. any advice will be appreciated.

I just purchased a 2010 with a sail, paddle and wheels and paid that price. It is not often you will find a Hobie up for sail and they tend to hold their value.

Check for any canning or deep gouges on any used kayak.
