Good luck with this one........i was asking the same in "car toping lynx ideas" topic awhile ago , never got an answer from hobie.........this forum should be much better.....and Matt and others hobie stuff should not avoid for them disturbing topics.....i have asked a few quality questions and got answers like tech department rarely comment on forum or silence......well Hobie if you are silent the problem won t dissapear......i own 2018 outback and lynx both great , some quality issues the thing that bothers me is hobie ignorance for problems .....

I lift mine by the handle seems to be pretty sturdy.
