Can Hobie provide a Certificate of Origin. There was not one in the documentation box I received with the Lynx.

I'm going to put a Bixpy motor on my rudder so that means I will need to register it here in Virginia.

Thanks for the help.

Contact your dealer. They can provide you with an MSO. We can not do this directly as this is only issued to dealers... who then assign the MSO to the buyer of that product.

I asked about the MSO when I picked up the kayak. I was told the warranty card was my MSO. I just chuckled and told myself I would contact Hobie when I got home. I filled out the contact information on the Hobie website but got no response.

I'll try contacting the dealer again but they seemed rather clueless about the MSO.

It is for them to do. This is a chain of ownership document. The MSO is the transfer from a manufacturer to a dealer. They can either register the product with the DMV for you if they are a bonded agent (Think car dealers) or sign the MSO over to you.

So I can possible guide them in the right direction. Do they need to login to their Hobie dealer website to print out the MSO?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, it is online. Otherwise, they can contact their sales rep or our in-office sales staff for assistance.

Did you ever have any luck getting your MSO?

So i am in need of the "Certificate of Origin" but have a dilemma. I bought my PA12 years ago from Wild River Outfitters in Virginia Beach VA. They went out of business shortly after. Now because of the new Torqeedo motor i have to title and register the kayak. So where do i go? Having boats before i know about the "hull number" but that's really all i have. Thanks
