Every other Hobie with a Lowrance ready mount uses three screws to attach it. The Lynx uses two. Why did Hobie make this change? Nobody makes accessories for a two-hole Hobie transducer mount. Not even Hobie apparently.

Has to do with the molded-in inserts for the fasteners. They can not be adjacent due to the thermoforming process... material has to stretch over and enclose them.

One would think that on a kayak in this price range you would have made a version of the guardian mount for the Lynx.

Probably limited by the cavity size and added lines and thru-hole issues.

The guardian depends on being able to go up and down. The Lynx is about being simple. The built in scupper works great and is the same as on the passport. If you want sidescan, get the sidescan plate for the passport and off you go. I kept it simple and mounted an HDI transducer in there with a short cable. Works really well

You realize the guardian is just a bungee cord mounted plate, right? it's pretty darn simple, and in this day and age, sidescan sonar is basically the norm. A vessel as flat bottomed as the Lynx needs to offer protection for sidescan sonar.
