Four days at 3-Mile Canyon (eastern end of Columbia Gorge) sailing, sweet. The wind was a blowin; 15 -20 knots Friday and Monday, and 20 - 30+ on Saturday and Sunday (the windsurfers were rigging 3.7s and 4.2s). Needless to say I had a second person on the boat on Saturday/Sunday and kept the jib furled. The swell ranged from 2 -4 feet with the occasional 5-6 footer. Beating into the wind was a slow rollercoaster ride, but worth it in the return with broad reaches surfing the waves. It was a wet and wild ride. 8)

Sounds pretty special fastcat. My wife's is from Vancouver WA and knows the area. Any pics?

Officially winter here now in the tropics and we are getting 60F overnight... but bright sun and 75-80 clear sunny days... and finally the wind is settling to manageable levels, 5 - 12 knots next this week, might finally get some water time.

gmhendo - no pictures, but I have a short video from my boat of a friend on his H16 at 3-mile in 2008. In the video was shot from another friend on the trap and the wind was blowing ~10-15 knots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COcc6E2TgCc
