I bought a 17 Sport that had no trampoline. To get the rear section in do I need to separate the hulls? If so do I just remove the 4 screws and force them apart? Is there a secret to getting the cross members out? Thanks |

Newer boats have an opening in the middle of the crossbars that allows the tramps to be installed/removed without taking the boat apart. Earlier boats, you need to take everything apart to work on the tramp. One bolt in each corner of the frame is all it takes to get the boat apart. Remove the bolts and slide the hulls off. If the connections are worn, it should come apart easily. This is most easily done with the boat on the ground (not on the trailer). Having a helper also makes things easier, especially during reassembly. sm |

This is the best example how a forum should work. We set on the ground the boat practically fell apart. On the trailer it would not budge. Thanks for great advice! |

Not a problem. I've taken them apart more than a couple times.... For re-assembly, sometimes it's easiest if you lay one hull on it's side and drop the crossbars into the hull castings so the crossbars are pointing straight up. Then after you put the bolts in, grab the crossbars and rotate the hull over and engage in the opposite hull. sm |
