so I got the jib kit from Murrys which is really designed for the superjib but I a mrunning a normal 17 sport jib. My question is that they provide a S hook that attaches to the top of the jib and to the halyard. when you pull it up it hooks on to a round ring, then you pull back on the jib slightly and the hook hooks to the ring. My question is they could not tell me if the hook is supposed to go through the ring or on the outside of the ring. It seems that through the ring would be easier to hook the jib, but way more difficult to unhook to remove the jib. They were not sure but suggested on the outside of the ring not through. Anyone have this setup that coule enlighten me.

ok, I spoke with the guy who designed the superjib kit from Murrays and he did not know, but after talking we both decided on running the hook on the outside. I have now used ti twice and it works great, run it from the outside
