Guys,
The past winter I've equipped my Hobie 17 with jib and jib boom.
Today i put up the mast but i think the mast angle is too steep.
How much mast rake shall i have??
What shroud tension shall i have??
HELP needed...!!

Hopefully someone knowledgeable will chime in.
As I understand it, your rig tension should be pretty stiff to aid in adding rigidity to the platform. (Not so tight you have issues with mast rotation though, you could back off a little in light air.)
I am still looking for tips about measuring mast rake. On most other boats there's reference points (i.e. using the trap lines to measure)
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but wanted to say something since you haven't gotten any responses.
