I am looking to replace the traveler track on the rear beam to the deeper style (needed upgrade on an old 86), problem is the holes on the new track don’t line up.

Do I drill new holes in the beam? This would leave over a dozen old holes and am worried it will reduce the integrity of the beam. Or do I redrill the track? the holes are recessed and I feel like the chances of me messing it up are pretty high.

Re-drill the crossbeam. You're not reducing the strength significantly.

Thanks Matt - do you have any tricks for getting the rivet gun in between the track? Would a stack of washers work?
