Ho guys
I have a hobie 17 and I received another hobie 17 as a gift, with some damage, to be used for spare parts.
according to you it is better the mast with the comptip or the one piece mast, with no comptip?
Thank you

The 17 has always had a CompTip. Yes it is safer and is in the design for sail performance as well. If you have a mast without one... it is not from a Hobie 17.

No idea what France may have built back in the day.
