| Post subject: | Rivets on FX One - what types? |
Hi there, I bought a used FX One and I wanna change some parts, which are attached with pop rivets. I don't find anywhere what rivets to be used for which part, can anybody help me? I'm especially interested to change the following parts: - Spi Pole Attachment - Fore Stay Attachment on the Mast - Mast Top where the Sail Hook goes in - Goose Neck If you know the HC item numbers and amount of rivets needed, that would make my day! I expected to find it here: https://media.hobie.com/digital_assets/ ... 202007.pdf But I did not, so I checked the H18 assembly manual. While the hardware is different I believe the same rivets (8010181) and rivet sleeves (99210050) are used. The halyard hook may take a longer rivet (8011231) https://media.hobie.com/digital_assets/ ... 2017-6.pdf You will need one for each hole

Hi Matthias you can find the needed rivets @ every 'Baumarkt' here in Germany. Most of the FX One rivets are 4,5mm in diameter. Use alloy rivets (standard rivets are alloy anyway) as you might have to struggle with contact corrosion using rivets made from another material. Grüße aus Giesing, Tricky Dicky |
