Just wanted to say thanks to every one here for all the advice. I feel much more confident in shopping for used H14's now I know exactly what to look for with the hull, sails, rigging, etc. Without these tips I could have easily been cheated out of hundreds of dollars and had only a lemon boat to show for. :oops:

I agree with Mbounds, 1000-1500 is too high for what I see in the picture which looks similar to my H14.

In Comparison- My H14 was $500. It had no trailer, 1 extra mainsail (1 excellent/1 good) and solid hulls. There was about $35 of minor missing hardware.

In the state I live, you have to register a H14. I don't see any numbers on your picture. Just something to consider when you sail the boat in public waters. I was stopped by the "boat police" and found that out the hard way.
