Hey All. I live in Massachusetts and am pretty jelous of the winds people will be getting in the south east. Anyone who lives down there have plans of sailing during the upcoming hurricane. Or if people read this forum after the hurricane hits does anyone have any good stories of rediculous winds? Hopefully we get some of that wind here before its all destroyed by the mainland.

I sail in NH during the summer and then in the fall I bring my hobie home. I don't know if my little 14 is quite ready for the ocean yet. Still needs some work done to it. I would definetly say that next spring I would love to test out the ocean. When do you start sailing in the spring?

Hey guys,
I live in Boston as well, but sail down in Onset Bay, and Buzzards Bay.
Seen some exciting stuff so far this summer. Mostly where Onset meets Buzzards and the base of the CC canal. But I have to say, my 30 year old h14 cuts right through, at some good speeds.

Hopefully my season won't end after labor day.
Do you all sail in the fall?

I sail in the fall. There is a lake in Wakefield MA that I sail at. No power boats only sail boats. I usually sail till november at that point my 3 mm wet suit stops being usefull. I think next spring i will buy a dry suit so that I can start sailing and waterskiing sooner in the season and make it last longer.

So you're the Hobie I've seen in Wakefield. I bet you are really good at tacking.

Get off the pond and out to Salem Sound :)
