So I recently just bought a Hobie 14 Turbo and I am keeping it at an outside storage unit. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good online places to buy a boat cover that is shaped like a catamaran. So far the cheapest one I have found is 500 and that's way to expensive as i am in college. Anyways if anyone knows any good places I would appreciate yall posting the link, Thanks Daniel |

The Hobie cover is a lot less expensive than that. You can make your own from a tarp & a pair of scissors. |

A great big tarp should be enough. We don't get frost here, and I don't know if you need to cover for frost but a great big UV resistant tarp does just fine. My cat sits on the trailer with the mast on its supports so it looks like a big tent. |

Menard's sales a gray vinyl one that works great and holds up for many years, looks much better than those ugly blue ones that last maybe a season.I cover my 16's with those, about $80.I do use some 1" thick pieces of neoprene at any sharp or tight areas to protect the cover from tearing though. They are like 12X20 in size or so.Build kind of a tent with it Bill 404 21 SE |

If you are still looking into going the cover route, you might want to try mightycovers.com. I got a cover there that was reasonable and seems to be sturdy. Maybe they can get you what you need at a reasonable price. http://www.mightycovers.com/Boat-Cover.htm |
