Looks like I need a new main halyard

Is the main halyard on the 14 wire like the 16 or is it line?

Can West Marine make one, would you trust them? or should I order it online?

If you've got a solid aluminum mast, WM can make a new wire halyard for you. Have them leave out the thimble on the end that the rope is tied to.

The dimension from the shackle pin to the wire stop is critical. Take your old halyard in so they can match it.

If you've got a Comptip, just order a new halyard from Hobie. They have a wire/rope splice at the stop that I wouldn't trust anybody to make.
