Would you be able to to have a trap, and and jib on a H14 with out a dolphin striker?

You could . . .

But you'd have a broken boat in very short order.

The dolphin striker turns the simple beam of the front crossbar into a truss member, capable of carrying the additional mast compression created by the jib and trapeze.

Never mind that i just found out that she has cancer, soft spots in the front of both pontoons. You wouldn't happen to know if you can fix the issue would you? Because I have got a series of 5 regattas coming up and i have paid the entry fees already.

Thank you this helps a lot, I have 2 Patches foreward of the cross beams on both hulls, some in the middle of them and a little on the side of one. I might just enter in a laser full fig seeing this may take time to fix. Thanks again for your advice. :)

Git rot will fix soft spots in a heartbeat - just checkout the posts, tape it, drill it, fill it and(when dry) sail it
