Hi, I have a 1970 Hobie Cat 14 it has a clean title, comes with trailer, sail, mast, and trampoline rails. It needs some epoxy work, a couple patches, one new rudder, and a new trampoline. The trailer tires hold air but are dry rotted, they will need replacing soon. Do not low ball me, I know what these boats are worth and it will take around $1200-1500 to get it to be a NICE catamaran. The trailer alone sells for what I have the whole package listed for, the boat fully restored is worth $5000+. Message for pictures, $1000 OBO. Lemme know what you got trade wise. Thanks for your time, call or text Tristan anytime @(615)-605-4447

I'd trade a twelve pack. If you believe it's worth $5000 restored why don't you put 1000 into it and make 3 grand?

Well, I paid £250 for my H14 Turbo which came with two masts one single and the other a two piece) A spare tramp frame and good condition trailer. I guess with those extras I got a good deal, sounds like it could be worth $10k ;-)

I paid $200 for my 84 redline hobie 14turbo with everything including a good trailer a trap harness. 2 hours of cleaning and I sailed it a ton. Hmm Is that worth $10k??

Sad what some people think things are worth. It will be another hobie collecting dust because the owner has a deranged view of the value. My dad used to call it the crap/gold theory. Mine is gold yours is crap when it comes time to sell/buy for those people.

I bought my second Hobie 14 for $1200, including a galvanized trailer. In 2005. I drove 13 hrs each way to get it. I still have it. Well, most of it. I sold the trailer for $250. The tramp and sail have each been replaced twice, with the old ones eBayed off for whatever I could get for them.

It is a 1985, weighs a few lbs over minimum weight, is solid as a rock, has won two North American Championships and this year, the Alter Cup. That boat is worth maybe $5K - but only to the right buyer.

If you stick to your asking price, you'll be looking at that (increasingly) old, heavy boat that needs parts and repairs for a long time. I could buy a new 14 for $8K. Why would I pay $5K for a nearly 50 year old 14 no matter what shape it was in?
