Hello I have a H14 that has been in the family for years trying to get it back on the water For registration need to figure out what year it was built and cost new hull #1726 sail #1658 Pre march 71 since higher sail # are listed on march 71 news letter ? your guess is as good as you'll get for the year. As far as cost, states only ask that so you'll pay tax on it. Don't know why you'd be willing to pay taxes twice on the same boat. |

Thanks for the reply As for cost new they have annual tax/ lake fee on cost new vs age I don't want to have to pay any more than I have to years ago sailboats were exempt just like any non motorized boat any idea ? New in 1970 500$? 5k$ ? wouldn't think it would be near the 5k since chevelle in 70 was only 3300$ ? here are the fees https://www.in.gov/bmv/2495.htm |

I've heard that the 1st 16s were around 1,000 in 1970. I would think 14s would be less. |

I'm going to start on some soft spot repairs looking for advise what I have read west system is the #1 choice ? 105 resin 205 hardner and 404 filler substituting 206 slow hardener to give more pot life/work time will this affect the strength of the repair ? some people say use screws to pull the laminations back together after injecting epoxy then remove and fill them does it help , hurt or not needed ? read where some use bent paper clip to hollow out the foam under the holes to get more surface area to bond the layers ? again does it help , hurt or not needed ? Thanks |
