I have searched, I have read the tuning tips. I have 50" at the base of the mast halyard triangle with the boat level. This translates to 11* of rake. The shrouds are pinned in the bottom hole. The head stay is pinned in the top hole on the furler. The rig is just a touch loose. Am I on the right track? Thanks GH |

No answer for you but I am interested in what the experienced sailors say. What is your weight? I weigh 230 and I have been sailing my 14 turbo pinned on the bottom or 2nd holes on the shroud since I got mine. Do you have the rotary furler? Mine only has the short cable from the mast and no adjustment so I am wondering if there is supposed to be any adjustment there? |

I'm about 200 lb. That's a bit heavy for a 14T. I do have a roller furling jib. It only has two pin holes on top of the furler drum. The bottom of the head stay only fits well in the top hole. There is no adjustment at the top. |

For your weight, that is about right. To tighten the rig a bit more, I suggest reversing the shroud adjusters. It should give you one more hole for tension. After a while, you could take new measurements and custom fit standing rigging. Have fun! Bob

The single hole end is pinned to the chain plate on the tramp rail. The shroud is pinned to the lowest hole on the ten hole side of the adjuster. Thanks GH |

That would close it up by about one hole but cause an ugly hang up spot. My mast has an extra hound about 3" above the stock one. I put an adjuster into the upper hound and pinned in only the forstay. This kept a 10* rake and tightened up the rig just about right. Thanks for all the replies. GH |
