The spot I found ended up being larger than I thought. Bummer, I am still going to attempt to repair and am only going to Use these hulls in the bay to avoid being bashed by the surf. I am on the look out for a set of hulls. The paint is sanding down easily enough I not entirely sure what the previous people did. Anyway progress is being made waiting for more resin to arrive. After filling and smoothing the surface with the formula 27. Is there something I can put over the repaired areas to protect from the sun and maybe even sail a little until I can afford the gel-coat? Thanks all for your assistance.

Where are you located? There are a couple cheaper 14's around me for sale.

Galveston, TX. I've located one have to go take a look. Unfortunately I am on a shoestring budget, hopefully will be able to get it to function until I can afford to pick up some hulls. But looking at it I may try and just move up to a 16 I seem to find those more readily than the 14's and they seem to be priced a little more reasonable. In the mean time II will work with what I have. This is all for my 10yr. old son, he has been wanting to sail on a catamaran since he first saw one. I am trying to make his sailing dreams come true. Wish me continued luck. Thanks all

That's great that your son has an interest. Where I am there seem to be less people than ever interested in actually getting out and DOING something.

It does however seem to drive the prices down on things for those of us who DO want to get out side!

Good luck with it, I hope you get to try it out soon.
