| Post subject: | Lake Tahoe |
Sailed out of Homewood on Lake Tahoe the week of 07-13-09. Weather reports called for light winds all week, however each afternoon around 1-2 pm a localized wind out of the north west between Tahoe Pines and Tahoe City would kick up and provide excellent sailing in a mile to mile and half wide window and would eventually build to cover a good portion of the lake. This was my first trip to Tahoe so I don't if this was a unique experience or a common occurrence. Either way the sailing was excellent, I was able to get out on the water six days straight! |
