| Post subject: | H14 (1980-ish) rudders |
Redoing a H14 (with a sail number of 3500 or similar - 1980's?) and the rudders are wooden and eaten a bit by borer. No worries - sanding up nicely and I'm going to fill them, stain them black, then (probably) expoy-paint them. Anyone know how they were done originally? Was there a layer of glass on there? Were they painted? My H16 has nice f/glass black rudders, the H16 wooden ones seem very lightweight in comparison. |

Not factory stock. We didn't do wooden ruders on the 14. Either the rudders were custom built or maybe the boat is actually a 3.5? That one had wood rudders I hear. |
