Post subject:  Sanding & gelcoat job : how long ?

Hello everyone,
My H14 hulls are in good shape, no damage, no soft area. There is just a big ugly sticker on the side that says "scopio" and a "scorpio" image on the other hull, both seems to be stickers.
The previous owner added some anti-fooling under the hulls in order to protect them while pulling the hobie cat on the beach, there is some stains on the side (paint? anti-fooling?) and I want to use a clean nice looking boat this summer. Beeing far away from the hobie cat ( and yes, lazy, I work too much during the year), I want to sail as soon as I arrive and don't want to spend time sanding, cleaning it so I'm in touch with a gelcoat guy who have a nice experience in this kind of job (gelcoat guy for 10 years on the pogo sailing boats hulls)

His job is billed per hour and I'm wondering how long would it take for a "refresh" of my hulls for sanding, gelcoat & polishing ?
I'm assuming 4 hours for a specialist like him who have the right place, tools and materials but I'm maybe wrong.
Any idea from experienced hobie cat sailors ?

Four hours is about right for fixing dings / sanding / polishing - especially when you've got stuff like the stickers and anti-fouling to deal with. You probably don't need a new coat of gel shot on, but I can't really say without seeing the hulls.

@Mbounds : Thanks for this reply, it's exactly what I was thinking.
