I bent my old '79 Holsclaw trailer a bit and am looking to replace the tongue and crossbars. The crossbars I have wanted to replace for some time since they have been repaired (or spliced) since before I owned the trailer. The tongue got bent. All are galvanized box steel.

My question, based on the availability of replacement trailer parts that I see, is how thick are they on other trailers? Mine are thicker than those that I see available online.

My trailer tongue is 2x3 (typical) with a 1/8" or .125" wall thickness (thicker than commonly available). It is 7' long with a 5'2" protrusion beyond the bracing.

My crossbars are 2x2 (typical) with a 3/32" or .094" wall thickness. They are 8' long and overhang the frame by about 30" in the front and 20" in the rear.

How thick are your galvanized tongue and crossbars?
