I got my first ski boat and lived 5 min away from lake mead since high school. I always wanted a hobie cat! took a ride on one in the ealry 90s and loved it!

been waiting for a hobie to fall in my lap! and this week one did!!!
a 16 foot hobie I could not pass up! one of those come get it Im moving, gave the guy 150$ for it. now its home I dont know what to do with it!!

one, I scrap it and make a atv trailer from it and get my money back, look for one in better condition

two, fix it and go have fun with it!!

everything looks to be there sails parts and stuff.

its the hull, thats what Im stuck on! the tramp need replaced might make a trip to try it out, the sails, i
I cant find anything wrong with them, they just old and sat out in the weather for what looks like years and are white with green mold spots, looks like they might make a trip or two, I dont know the sails might lasts a year or two

the Hull
the top of the hull has a problem!!! the hole top its got the rot ive been reading about delamination repars and cant tell if this one worse than others!and thers a patch that need fixed too!
with the all the repairs needed dont know what to do

I have a buddy and he can make me a tramp, i think, he owns a shop, if the sails need help he might be of help there too! might

then theres the riging questions?? what is right what is wrong and what do i have? i realy dont know anything about hobie cats, like anything i get into I like to start at the beginng and learn the grass roots then make the thing faster and better

Part it. Then use the money plus save up a $1000 or so and get a cat that sails.

You can use Oxyclean to remove mold from the sails, and get them professionally repaired and then try to sell. If your sails are not too blown, you should be able to get $200-500 for used H16 sails.

Good luck
