I have a Hobie 16. It is a 1980. It has a hole in one hull about thsize of your, well, my thumb. The bottoms of the hulls are worn, the gelcoat seems fine but I haven't cecked for delamination. There are no access port holes in it and the Pylons are sloppy. I have decided to glue the pylons but the other problems are really my concern. Oh yeah, I want to paint or gelcoat the hulls as well. Could you direct me to threads or links that could help with these quiries. Thanks Beener

Scroll down the page under Help with Repairs section to mid August and you will find the answers. "Hull Repair Suggestion" and "Hole In Hull" posts. Also the Paint or Gel Coat concern is answered again on July 12th.

You may find it helpful to check out the Yahoo Group - beachcats. They have an excellent do-it-yourself section with pictures etc.
