There is a dime sized soft spot in the side of my 76 Hobie 16 from it being dropped off the side of the trailer. In the pictures you can see the damage. Some repair work has been done in the area. But near the lower left in the worst area is a small soft spot. All the repairs I have seen are for huge pieces involved cutting open the hulls. I am looking for a simpler and easy solution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would just try injecting it with epoxy. Mask off the area, drill two small holes into the foam core (not completely through the hull), fill a small plastic syringe with epoxy, and inject into one of the holes until epoxy flows from the other hole. Wipe off any excess and let it cure.
