I am doing my first bottom job. Are the keels sanded enough? There seems to be some dark/black areas under the fiber glass in some areas. Do i need to sand down to there and remove? Any other advice based on the pictures?

Just make sure it's roughed up really well using coarse sandpaper (80 grit). Then clean the surface with acetone before you start laminating the new glass. There's no need to aggressively remove the existing fiberglass unless it isn't well adhered (i.e., someone did a previous bottom job and the fiberglass from that job is coming off).
