Recently purchased a used 80'sish hobie 18 and all is in great working order except the hull is cracked off on the front, perhaps 1.5 feet in from the front. This had occured on the other hull as well and was previously repaired locally for around $150 by the previous owner. I am wondering if it is possible for me to repair it myself and what materials or documentation anyone who has done or attempted this could recommend. The hull is completely cracked off but both pieces are solid and in good shape.

thanks in advance for any info or leads to the right place.

WOW…. With the extent of this repair and to be sure you won’t get caught out in heavy winds someday with a hull in several pieces, I highly recommend taking it to a professional. I wouldn’t do anything less. Check with your local marinas and I’m sure they would help you out.
