I have a soft spot about 12 inches long and 4 inches wide on my side of my 14 hull. I've tried strengthening it with fiberglass mat, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I'm looking into cutting out the soft spot and re-glassing it and putting new gel-coat on but can't find anything about it. Is this too extreme a method? What works best?

My preferred method would be to get Kenny to fix it. Othwerwise make the surface horizontal, drill a hole in the center and along the perimeter and inject with resin.
