I was getting my boat prepped for the summer and I noticed the crack below in my mast. Has anyone run into this kind of crack and have any idea what to do about it?

I see a dent and scratch near the luff track, and then the joints of the comp tip and plastic luff track section. Looks like you lost some gel cost off the comp tip for some reason...looks like a drop.

Not sure which crack you're referring to.

I can't tell you how much peace of mind I have received by swapping my original (broken) comp tip setup for an old school H16 full extruded aluminum mast. As a bonus, it was a small fraction of the cost of a new comp tip, and it only took a few days to locate.
