Background: new Getaway owner, 2001 edition, end of first season, living in NJ where cold winters are the norm

Problem: having hauled the boat back from the lake for winter storage, I can hear water sloshing about in the mast...it sounds like a significant volume.

Request for help: how do I get the water out before the winter freeze starts? I have searched the forums, and found what looks like a similar issue in the Wave forum, but before I start drilling holes in my Getaway mast I thought it would make sense to ask the experts on the site. I would very much appreciate any guidance!

Jim

You might have to remove the mast base and poke a hole in the seal. You can try removing a rivet in the aea where the water is.
