I WANT TO ATTACH MY RIGHTING POLE TO THE FRONT MAIN BEAM. CAN I DRILL A HOLE THRU THE ENTIRE BEAM,FRONT TO REAR, WITH S.S. BOLTS,TO ATTACH THE SUPPORT BRACKET, WITHOUT DAMAGING ANYTHING (INNER STRUCTURE)??? |

The beams are hollow. We do the same for mounting the seats. No problem. |

Matt, Rick White's righting pole uses rivets or screws to attach a bracket to the center of the beam. Seems a little overkill to through bolt it. The beams look alot bigger than H16's. Have you seen any problems with mounting these poles (start of cracks etc) I weigh 155 and have wings on the boat. Water bag just doesn't cut it. |
