Last Sat Aug 7 was Southold YC's Around Shelter Is.,NY. race for Sunfish and
catamarans. Div A won by Steve Bellavia and his daughter, FX1, 2nd Greg Glove, Blade
F-16, 3rd Supercat 20. Div B 1st Doug Adams, Hobie Getaway, followed by H-16s
sorry didn't see results posted. tough light wind race for 1st 2 hrs and last 1/2 hr to finish
nice 15-17 sw close hauled 2nd half of race. times were corrected. I was very happy with
our performance on the getaway. We were beaten by a well sailed Prindle 16 unfortunately
they missed the finish line and DNFed. we took 4hr 27min at least 25 miles. boat for boat we
beat SC 20, Tiger F-18, N-20, several 16s, yes luck had a lot to do with it, but we'll take it,
