Post subject:  Hull Shift? Advice needed.

Below are pictures of my Getaway's hull where the center beam comes through. I seem to remember it being flush or close to flush with the hull.

Now on the right side where the wing bolts on, the metal appears to be pushed in. This might just be my imagination but I want to check on it because I know that something needs to be adjusted with my left hull.

These 2 pictures show my left hull where the center beam comes through. If look closely, ( might want to click on image for large view. The hull appears to be stressed outwards at the beam. I really don't have the idea what to do about this. I'm hoping someone that's used to assembling the Getaways can give me a little insight here.

Thanks!!!

The left and right hull come from just one mold. We are seeing that the molds is distorting from the many years of production. Sometimes we have to cut the sleeves differently to account for the (aluminum) mold distortion. We have also moved the inboard stop on the crossbar at least once. Sooo....basically, the boat is not exactly symetrical and it changes a bit from production year to production year.

I just got back from 2 weeks out of town. I can see how the production years differ, but my hulls have changed from when I bought the boat new 3 years ago.

It is just recently that I noticed the hull buckling out. Could something be loose?

Post subject:  differences in hulls

I am about to upgrade a 2001 port hull for a 2006 new hull. I'm wondering if the old and new hulls will work together and be compatible? I also will need to put old rudder gudgeons on new hull. Can anyone see compatibility issues here?
