| Post subject: | Where to Rent a Getaway |
Does anybody know where I can rent a Hobie Getaway around the Philadelphia, PA region? Do you need 2 people to sail one? One person for the jib sail, the other for the main sail? If yes, then could I sail it without the jib sail, solo? |

There is a shop over in Ocean City NJ that rents a Hobie Getaway but the owner will not let you take it out alone. He sends along his skipper. I went with my daughter and she sailed the boat the entire time. The skipper is extremely Hobie knowledgeable and taught her a lot about sailing a Hobie. It is Bay Cats. They are at 316 Bay Avenue, Ocean City (609) 391-7960. Web site is baycats.com Pricy but a great experience. I ended up buying a Getaway the next summer. |
