I had a Cheata motor mount on my Getaway for a small gas motor (3 horse Evinrude with built in gas tank). It worked awesome to motor from the boat launch area, navigate channels, make progress in low winds, sail upwind more effectively, and I have even used it for fishing. Most importantly, it got us home or home faster when the wind died.
What have you used your motor mount for on your getaway and what motor did you use?
Sadly, I don't need my mount anymore and am selling it in the classifieds area of this forum.
