I have a gopro 2 mounted on the suction cup accessory stuck on one of the bows of my getaway.

You always need to tether the camera to the boat in case the mount comes loose. Also, I'm still perfecting a way to anti-fog the inside of the lens - I'm using the anti fog strips offered by gopro, but I'm still getting some fogging at the end of my videos.

I think the gopro camera is the industry standard for waterproof, compact vid cameras for action sports.

Next is to mount it on the mast float y to get some aerial views.

Check out "Kreeeytiv"'s videos on youtube or search for them under the handle "Creative" on this board. He has mounted his GoPro camera in just about every way you can imagine on a wave. Most of which could be adapted to a Getaway for sure. He explains some mounting ideas in some posts as well.

I'm setting my getaway up for fishing adventures. I want to be able to see the stern of the boat well... yet have a flexible way to adjust the Gopro whenever wanted.

I'm not a big fan of suction mounts or adhesive mounts. They seem like they'll fail at some point.

This is a great concept that proved unsuccessful because the wall of the mast is so thin that there's not much threading for the bolt to grab onto.

My next attempt is using a different ball-mount and using rivets.

I'm a big fan of Ram Mount products. They really are secure and well-made stuff. http://www.rammount.com

I'm open to any ideas.

I have a GoPro 2 mounted to the rear left wing support rod, using the standard handlebar mount. Works great, although it gets a little wet from time to time...

I have mounted my GoPro in several locations on my Getaway. I have found that the mast blocks most locations from viewing the whole boat. Ie. on either hull, forward or stern. I have also mounted one on the rudder cross bar which worked pretty good for watching the front of the boat but was not ideal. This year I made a psudo-spinaker pole out of ABS plastic. It allowed me to mount the camera about 4 to 5 feet forward of the hulls dead center. It works great for being able to view the entire boat but you have to be careful. I hold my breath when the nose dips and my camera gets dunked. I will post some pics of the mount later tonight when I get to a better connection area. Dom
