I was looking speed up my getaway on occasion by taking the wings off to streamline the side and reduce water drag. Is there a good way help your feet stick to the side hull? I’ve noticed the traction isn’t that great when stand off under my wing. I was thinking about neoprene but that would probably add to drag.

I was also thinking of maybe adding a foot straps to my wings. I recently stuffed my bow, almost a pitch pole, and sent my friend (on his first time out on a wire) flying way out clearing front of the boat and crashing into the far side of the far wing. He had been standing behind me while I was sitting on the wing hiking out. (I’m still wishing it had been me.) While he loved this I'm wondering about how to stop the short trips to the front from less rapid deceleration from having to let the main out or minor stuffage.

Anything thoughts or ideas would be welcome.

His modifications are for hiking out, not for using the trap, thanks though.
