 Post subject: New Main Sail?

Absent an obvious cloth failure, how do you know it is time for a new Main sail? Thanks!

Batten pockets ripped out, stitching coming out, but other than the obvious material things the sail gets "blown out". All sails have a little belly soen into them, as the sail ages the belly gets to large and the sail doesn't pull well anymore. If the sail cloth is still good you can have the sail re-soen and the stiffening resin redone. Usually not worth the cost...
