Yes, Getaway has a new hull mold. New bow and chine.

Sails look great against the blue water! New hull design, I wonder if it will effect performance, I can't imagine it will, but the hulls look cool. Is there a reason to add chine other then looks? Is that a handle in the stern of the hull?

The reverse bow will be faster. It is more forgiving when stuffing bows.

The chine ads stiffness and splash protection.

Yes... that is a molded-in handle.

Is there a ballpark MSRP for the 2017? Been thinking about replacing my 2006 Getaway and love the changes.

Do you think it would be possible to just up grade hulls?

No. The boat has different specifications for crossbeams, tramps etc... all a little different.

When will the 2017 Getaway be available for purchase? Will the MSRP remain the same?

Chining and reverse bows, awesome! Happy to see the Getaway getting a few new mods. It's a great boat as it is.

Ask your dealer about price and availability.

Depends on region... we don't quote pricing and availability may also depend on region.

Is there a downloadable brochure for the boat? All I could find was the old one.

New model info goes online September 1st. The brochure should be available in the next few weeks.

It's a shame the new design hulls won't fit existing boats, here in Australia the f16 viper has been given a redesign for its hulls and fit the existing platform making the change simple and avoiding having to buy a whole new boat, it is a shame the same thing didn't happen for the getaway, there are probably tons of us getaway owners that probably have great rigs etc... And would like to simply update the hulls.... That being said hobie might not have sold as many boats that way. The redesigned hulls look good but new colour scheme isn't my taste. Tasmania's only getaway sailor.
