Has anyone had this Mast hook for the main sheet fall out? We replaced the comp tip last year. Seems like the rivets just worked loose of the comp tip. Not sure if a repair is possible here. I don't see epoxy working, or re-reviting the carbon fiber.

There is a cast aluminum part of the mast head that this rivets through inside the CompTip. You should be able to re-rivet unless the holes are enlarged too much. Perhaps the rivets popped too soon and didn't properly expand in the hole. Your dealer can do that under warranty.

Thank you Matt! Would you happen to know how long the warranty is on the comptip? I'm sort of between a rock and a hard place on this one. It appears the holes are too large for the original rivets and replacement has been reccomended by the dealer. It appears we purchased the comptip replacement just over a year ago. I'd preder not to have to purchase another comptip for a masthook.

Use 1/4 inch rivets... Warranty is 1 year on parts sales. The tip is fine. Just use the larger rivets.

Or drill new holes a few inches away and fill the old ones with epoxy.

Another idea! The hook has to stay in the same relative position, so drilling new holes in the hook and mast would work. You could just use all 4 holes and a bit of epoxy or sealer around the old ones.
