Hi everyone!

New to the forum and to hobie cat ownership. Picked up a used getaway a couple weeks ago and Im trying to get it ready for the season. Had some questions about the hulls being loose and twisting. For example if a pick up my port side bow I can lift it a good amount before my starboard side lifts with it. I can see the rear x-bar rotating in the hull molding. Is this something that will be reduced once a step the mast or is there something I should do? (shimming) I don't see any cracking around the molding that I've been reading about. I believe the boat is a 2010.

Thanks!

I have a 2010 (I think), I don't think I have that much play in the hulls. You could always tighten up both tramps and see if helps.

Do you have the front tramp installed?

I have my front tramp installed and there is about 6" of lift before the other bow lifts if I lift one bow. It's not a stiff boat.

This is normal for a Wave or Getaway. It will stiffen up with tighter trampolines and with the rig up and tensioned. It will still "rack"... as you lift a bow the other is not going to come up at the same time.

Thanks for the responses! I ordered new ropes for the tramps to tighten everything up because the ropes that are on there are a little jury rigged.
