Hi everybody I bought a second hand getaway and I found that the brass into the hull that fixes the Rudder pintles is broken. I have already called a marine repairers but as is plastic and not fiberglass I fear it won't have solutions. Any tips on repair ? Thank you very much
Another question is that we have an extra hull but it seems is from the other side. Are their equal? Can the hulls be switched even the Hobie stamps get in the inside of the boat?

There is just one mold, but we change a fitting for the bow spreader receiver and that would not work to swap sides.

I suggest mounting an access hatch on the deck. You can then thru bolt the rudder fittings.

Thank you Matt that is exactly what our repairman has suggested to do.

Kind regards.

Hi, is the extra hull one you would be willing to sell? Is it port or starboard? Thanks.

Hi! I believe it´s starboard, we might sell it but we are in Spain! May be the shipping costs will be very expensive.

I bought a used 2012 getaway and need to tighten and or replace the screws holding the pintle to the transom. At least two are stripped and others are loose. Is there anyway to get to the backing plate without making a new hatch? Is there another fix or way to tighten stripped screws?

Matt,

Is there any other fix besides cutting a new access hatch? I have a 2012 Gataway with stripped screws holding the pintles to the hull

If the inserts are still there you might be able to tap new threads. You could go up a size screw?
